How to determine the appropriate amplifier.
- Central-Amplified (70V) Systems:
In this scanario , all the speakers are connected to centralized amplifier and amplifier provides power to speakers
In central-amplified systems, selecting the size of the amplifier is as simple as totaling the speaker power taps and calculate as below
Central-Amplified Speaker System = Power Tap(In watts ) x Quantity =Power
we recommend the selection of an amplifier with 20% more power than the aggregate amount of the speaker taps;
- Self-Amplified (24V) Systems:
In Self amplified speakers , a small amplifier is attached to back of each speaker .
Selecting the proper size power supply for amplified speaker systems has been simplified by assigning a power factor (pf) to each speaker or horn.
Self-Amplified Speaker System = Nominal x Quantity =Total
Note: If the total power (pf) required equals or exceeds the power (pf) of one size power supply, using the next larger supply (or of two supplies) is recommended
