Router Role:
It controls all the networking of the office by providing IP addresses , routing of Packets , refreshes the DHCP leases and much more
Network Switch role:
Switches connect multiple devices (computers, printers, servers) on the same network within a building or campus

Firewalls can help secure a network from both internal and external dangers. It helps to control many activities and minimizes the threats and viruses to enter the network
Antivirus installed on computers do the same job but can protect only device on which it is installed where as Firewalls helps to protect whole network.
