A conference bridge is a form of remote meeting using a business phone system. Conference bridges allow employees to dial into virtual meetings from a phone, anywhere in the world. Compared to a standard three-way call feature, conference bridges allow for a virtually unlimited number of participants, depending on what your phone system supports. Conference bridging is a core collaboration tool for companies with a large geographic footprint.

A conference call is a call between three or more callers. Businesses VoIP services providers allow for multi-way calling with three or more callers. Some providers, such as Nextiva using NextOS, even allow up to fifteen callers at a time without a conference bridge. But the more callers you have, the more complicated it gets. That’s why you need a conference bridge to make it easy for all parties involved to connect. A conference bridge can refer to the software, hardware, and/or the phone number used to make a large conference call.

dvances in technology means that reliable video conferencing has become accessible and affordable, and can easily serve the modern workplace.

This has become important for a wide range of reasons, not least to empower employee flexibility to work remotely from home, businesses having multiple office locations, but also the increasing likelihood that key clients and partners are more likely to be based around the world.

Video conferencing means that none of these issues present the complications they used to, and now meetings can take place online without worrying about technical problems, accessibility, or cost.

Additionally, with increasing concerns about the carbon cost of travel to the environment, it makes total sense for companies to seek to communicate face-to-face online rather than indulge in the wasteful cost to the business and environment in forcing people to travel to meet in a single location.

Normal consumer offerings such as Facetime and Skype have made video communications a normalized part of the conversation process, and the expectation is that businesses will increasingly embrace this technology simply because it offers so many all-round benefits, though some larger corporations remain slow on the digital take-up.

If you have the money to buy a 4K TV, you probably also have the money to hire a carpenter to mount the TV to the inside of the wall. By doing so, you’ll restrict easy access to the HDMI ports at the back, but if you use a wireless presentation solution (like, say, Ubiq) having easy access to the HDMI ports will not be necessary.

Let’s have a look at TV or flat panel, TVs nowadays aren’t an old piece of box to be placed at your home for entertainment purposes. Technological advances have evolved the generation of televisions and this decade-wide upgrade, lead to the invention of flat screens; which are equally capable of functionalities and features offered by other technologies.

Less number of attendees – if you are choosing to opt for a TV it is a reasonably good option if you have a space problem. If you have a small conference room i.e., 8 or fewer people attending the meeting a TV with 60″ to 75″ measurement can do the job pretty well considering most business meetings don’t require a large number of attendees.

Better visuals – When using an HD or 4K flat screen, it provides a wider color range with bright and sharp visuals and textures.

As most of the workplaces are now getting inclined towards incorporating natural light for better productivity and a healthy environment, this matter can also affect your decision in buying due to contrast ratios.

Taking into account the contrast issue, TVs have better contrast ratios making the visuals crisper and brighter in dark rooms as compared to the other option we have.

Color accuracy – Imagine displaying a business idea where a color scheme is essential; you don’t want it to be inadequate, do you?

TVs have far better color accuracy than projectors due to wider color gamut.

If you play around colors a lot, the TV might be a feasible option for you (keeping in mind other factors as well).

Lifespan – You can use your TV for a long time with little to no maintenance required that means you can get the most out of the thousands of bucks that you paid for it.

If you are like us and always forget turning off things, TVs are here for the rescue as you don’t have to worry about shutting your TV after every meeting.

Conference rooms that I want to setup permanent computers/projectors in.  Here is the biggest challenge:

I do not have power or network under the conference tables and I don’t have huge amounts of money

I want the rooms to look neat, so I don’t want cables running all over the floor.  I cannot afford to have an electrician add power since the floors are poured concrete.

I thought about running power from the ceiling down, but I am concerned about making that look OK in a professional room such as a board room.

In a perfect world it would be nice to have a raised floor and fancy desks like SmartDesks offers, but I can only imagine it would be VERY expensive.  So I am here looking for inspiration on how to make this work or what other products are out there.  Pictures are encouraged.  Can’t wait to see what you got!

Answer

Cable management solutions that bring power, communications and audio-visual connectivity anywhere.
